Your data and privacy choices

How location access works

With permission, DockRate can use approximate or precise location for nearby facilities and driver services, map centering, local weather, and biasing Google Places searches toward your area. Optional alerts while closed use your latest saved weather location. Optional travel weather updates require a signed-in account, the relevant opt-ins, and Always location access so iOS can provide significant location-change updates.

Change iOS permissions

Open Settings → Apps → DockRate → Location, or search iPhone Settings for DockRate. Change precise-location access or select Never, Ask Next Time, While Using the App, or Always when offered. Turn off travel weather updates in DockRate to stop that feature. You can decline location access and keep searching by name or address.

Weather alerts and notifications

Enable or disable weather alerts and travel weather updates in DockRate. Notification permission is controlled in iPhone Settings. Enabled notifications use a device push token and alert preferences, with Apple Push Notification service delivering alerts. Delivery depends on permissions, connectivity, iOS background behavior, and data availability.

Nearby-driver visibility

Nearby-driver discovery is optional and separate from weather location use. When enabled, it exposes an approximate area rather than precise coordinates, and visibility expires automatically unless refreshed. Disable nearby-driver discovery in DockRate to stop sharing that presence.

Request a copy of your data

Email the privacy contact below from the address on your account with the subject 'Data access request'. We will confirm your identity before releasing anything.

Correct your account data

Profile details can be edited in the app. If something cannot be corrected there — for example an email address you no longer control — contact privacy support with the correction.

Withdraw optional communication consent

Optional product and waitlist emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy support. Essential service messages — such as security or account notices — are not optional.

Begin an account-deletion request

Deletion permanently removes your account and associated content. You can also delete your account from inside the iOS app.
