1. Who operates DockRate

DockRate is operated by DockRate (operated by Harrison Ryan, sole proprietor), located at Ohio, United States. Privacy questions can be sent to support@getdockrate.com.

2. Information you provide

Account information

When you create an account we collect the identifiers required to sign you in, such as an email address and a display name, and any optional profile details you choose to add.

Reviews, ratings, photos and facility reports

When you contribute, we collect the content you submit: written reviews, star ratings, wait-time reports, dock difficulty ratings, entrance and map-point submissions, check-in notes, facility corrections and photos, together with the facility it relates to and the time of submission.

Support messages

When you contact support we collect your name, email address, the topic, your message and any screenshot you attach. Attachments are stored privately and are accessible only to authorised support staff.

3. Location information

DockRate requests location only while you are using the app and does not collect background location or track your movements between sessions. If you grant permission, DockRate uses your approximate or precise location to show nearby facilities and driver services, center the map, provide WeatherKit weather and safety information, and bias Google Places searches toward your current area. Nearby-driver discovery is optional. When enabled, it shares an approximate area through DockRate's Supabase infrastructure rather than displaying your precise location, and that visibility expires after 30 minutes unless refreshed. You can disable location access in iOS Settings and continue searching by name or address.

4. Automatically collected technical information

We may collect basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device type, operating system version, app version, and log records of requests to our servers.

Website analytics

This website is hosted by Lovable, which automatically collects privacy-friendly, aggregate website analytics — such as page views, referring pages, general device and browser type, and approximate country-level location — to help us understand site traffic and keep the site reliable and secure. Lovable's analytics do not use advertising cookies, do not build cross-site tracking profiles, and are not used to identify individual visitors. Retention of this analytics data is governed by Lovable's own privacy policy and data practices as our hosting provider. This website analytics collection is separate from the DockRate iOS app, which contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

5. How information is used

• Provide facility search, facility summaries and contributed content
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure
• Moderate content and enforce the community guidelines and terms
• Respond to support, privacy and deletion requests
• Diagnose problems and improve reliability
• Comply with legal obligations

6. Legal bases (where applicable)

Where a law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract to provide the service, legitimate interests to secure and improve it and to moderate content, consent for optional location access and optional communications, and legal obligation where required.

7. Sharing and service providers

• Supabase — authentication, database and file storage infrastructure.
• Google Places / Maps services — facility lookup, place details and map data, including publicly available Google ratings. Google ratings are shown separately from DockRate driver ratings and are never combined.
• Sign in with Apple — optional sign-in. We receive the identifier Apple returns and, if you allow it, your name and email address (which may be a private relay address). We do not receive your Apple password.
• Google Sign-In — optional sign-in. We receive your Google account identifier, email address and, where provided, your name and profile image. We do not receive your Google password.
• Analytics and advertising — DockRate does not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

8. Public nature of contributed content

Reviews, ratings, photos, wait reports and facility corrections are intended to be visible to other DockRate users along with your display name. Do not include information you do not want to be public, including faces, license plates, shipment paperwork or access codes.

9. Data security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport, access controls, row-level security on user data and private storage for support attachments. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

10. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account record, profile, photos and contributed content are deleted from our production systems within 30 days, and from encrypted backups within a further 30 days. Support messages and their attachments are kept for up to 24 months so we can handle follow-up questions and disputes. Server and security logs are kept for up to 90 days. A minimal record of moderation and deletion actions may be kept longer where needed for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

11. Account and content deletion

You can delete individual contributions from the app, and you can delete your account from inside the app or through the account deletion page. Deletion is permanent.

12. Your privacy choices

You can request a copy of your data, request corrections, withdraw optional communication consent and change location permissions at any time. See privacy choices.

13. Children's privacy

DockRate is intended for professional drivers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law.

14. United States and international transfers

DockRate is operated from the United States and information is processed there. If you use DockRate from outside the United States, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
