Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing or using DockRate you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use DockRate.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use DockRate.

3. Accounts and account security

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse DockRate — including scraping, reverse engineering, interfering with the service, attempting to access other users' data, or using DockRate in violation of law or of a facility's own rules.

5. User-contributed content

Reviews, ratings, photos, wait reports, entrance points, check-in notes and corrections are your content. You are responsible for what you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.

6. Licence to display submitted content

You grant DockRate a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and display your contributed content within DockRate and in materials promoting the service. This licence lasts as long as your content is on DockRate and ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained in routine backups and for content others have already downloaded or shared. You keep ownership of everything you submit.

7. Prohibited content

Do not submit harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual or explicit material, spam, impersonation, private personal information, confidential freight information, access codes, or content that infringes another party's rights. See the community guidelines.

8. Content moderation and removal

We may review, hide, remove or refuse contributed content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, where content violates these Terms or the community guidelines.

9. Facility-information accuracy disclaimer

Facility information is contributed by drivers and drawn from third-party sources. It may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Facilities change entrances, procedures, hours, parking and access without notice.

10. Mapping and third-party data

DockRate uses third-party mapping and place data, including Google services. Third-party ratings are displayed separately from DockRate driver ratings and are subject to those providers' own terms.

11. Safe use while driving

Configure DockRate before driving or use it while safely parked. DockRate is not a truck-specific navigation system and does not account for height, weight, hazmat or route restrictions. Always follow road signs, posted facility instructions and applicable law.

12. No guarantees

DockRate does not guarantee entrance locations, wait times, parking availability, amenity availability, appointment handling or facility access of any kind.

13. Intellectual property

DockRate, its name, logos, software and design are owned by DockRate (operated by Harrison Ryan, sole proprietor) and protected by intellectual property laws.

14. Termination

You may stop using DockRate and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

DockRate is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DockRate and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost time, detention, missed appointments or lost profits arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to DockRate is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Ohio, United States.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
